Dallas, TX (August 10, 2020) – Encore AMC Partners (EAMC) is pleased to announce that it served as the exclusive advisor and management consultancy to Newborn Advantage Surrogacy (“NAS”) in a sale transaction with Santa Monica Fertility (“SMF”), a portfolio company of Webster Equity Partners. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, NAS is a highly respected surrogacy agency with the mission of providing intended parents the best surrogates.
Over the past 15 years, NAS has grown to expand its reach on a global scale, matching intended parents with surrogates from around the world, while simultaneously creating a life advantage for newborns by helping intended parents navigate the complex web of surrogates, medical, financial and legal considerations with an experienced team who efficiently guide them with customized plans and step-by-step management of the process. These competencies are highly complementary to the emphasis on providing vertically integrated reproductive services offering egg donation, surrogacy, and IVF at Santa Monica Fertility. As a result of this combination, SMF will be positioned to continue to grow as one of the leading fertility clinics, as well as continue to expand its reach in providing comprehensively advanced fertility services and holistic care.
“We are excited to partner with Newborn Advantage Surrogacy to continue to grow Santa Monica Fertility’s surrogacy business,” commented SMF Founder and CEO, Dr. John Jain. “The NAS team has many years of experience in managing surrogacy cases and we are enthusiastic about working together and sharing our knowledge and sets of relationships.”
“I truly believe merging with Santa Monica Fertility is the right thing to do for our agency, our team and the intended parents we serve today and will serve in the future,” said Mindy Berkson, Founder of NAS. “We share a joint vision in that both of our firms were founded on the principle of helping families grow through quality of care and the highest standards in the industry, making this merger a seamless and natural fit.”
NAS selected EAMC (formerly ForreraGroup) to serve as its M&A advisor in the transaction. Mindy Berkson added, “We were fortunate to have the EAMC team represent us in this major event in our agency’s history. The EAMC team managed a multi-phased approach, provided guidance throughout the transaction process, while navigating the complexities of the markets during the pandemic. EAMC’s ability to credibly present NAS in the most favorable light, positioned our firm to find the right strategic investor. We are delighted with the outcome and to have had the chance to work with Encore.”
