About Mark
Mark Perez is a seasoned private markets advisor dedicated to helping Encore’s clients unlock and compound enterprise value, particularly where specialized finance, and growth platforms intersect. As a senior M&A advisor, he leads the firm’s deal structuring practice, advising business owners, private equity sponsors, and corporate acquirers on optimal transaction structures, valuation approaches, and risk mitigation strategies. Leveraging a comprehensive understanding of buy side and sell side structures, earnouts, rollover equity, and creative financing, he ensures transactions are positioned for success from initial assessment through closing.
Before founding Encore strategic partner Acorn Bridge, an investment and advisory platform, he was a founding Partner at Virgo Investment Group, where he helped shape the firm’s asset‑based investing strategy and expand its aviation footprint. Earlier, Mark served as Chief Investment Officer at Linqto, Board member of Zephyrus Aviation Capital, an investment banker at Goldman Sachs, following earlier roles at ChemPoint and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
